Dan Rohr

Dan lives for five things: Movies, Jazz Rap, Statistics, Chili, and his family who have no idea how huge a nerd he really is. Like almost everybody else on this page, he has a job dealing with computer/internet-y things for a company he helped start after college. You can find him on Flickchart as espin39.

Whoa, I wouldn’t say that Ebert’s review for the original I Spit On Your Grave is one of his best. Maybe one of his most famous, but the review itself is hardly anything close to objective or insightful. I know a lot of people don’t even think it’s worth their time to acknowledge movies like I Spit On Your Grave, but if you’re going to write a review about the film it might as well at least have some thought put into it. You know, rather than just typing out some self-righteous rant about the audience members. But yeah, my article does address that issue. Thanks for the mention.

Point taken. Maybe I exaggerated just a little with “best” – as it’s probably not something that wins a Pulitzer. I’d put it up there as one of my favorites to read though. It’s this weird little well-written time capsule that shows the side of his personality that has evolved into what helps make him an interesting and successful “blogger” nowadays (at least to me). He may be whining but he makes it so compulsively readable.
